Natural Dye Easter Eggs

While we are all being quarantined I decided to naturally dye Easter eggs. I can’t wait to do this with our future children; it was so much fun and most items we already had at home! I used https://www.marthastewart.com/267850/dyeing-eggs-naturally recipe to get started but ended up doing my own ratios. The onion skin surprised me the most!

*pre boil all eggs

Orange: Two onion skins // boil in a small sauce pan filled with water // add one tablespoon vinegar // boil for 30 min // strain the liquid and dye eggs for 30 min!

Blue: Two sliced red cabbage // boil in large pasta pot filled with water (1/3 of pot) // add one tablespoon vinegar // boil for 30 min // strain the liquid and dye eggs for 30 min!

Yellow: Two teaspoon turmeric powder // boil in small saucepan filled with water // add one tablespoon vinegar // boil for 30 min // strain liquid and dye eggs for 30 min!

Pink: Three sliced beets // boil in small saucepan filled with water // add one tablespoon vinegar // boil for 30 min // strain liquid and dye eggs for 30 min!

Brown: Two tablespoons coffee grounds // boil In small saucepan filled with water // add one tablespoon vinegar // boil for 30 min // strain liquid and dye eggs for 30 min!

*This could have been enough for more eggs but I only dyed one dozen

The orange from the onion was the most surprising! Two of the eggs were naturally that color so they are not labeled, but here is how they turned out!
